A Dream Come True: Part 14

If you ever go to London, you must go to the British Museum! Once again, we had not near enough time. We were only able to tour the Ancient World, and even then, we missed so much. Emmy and Mamma are studying Ancients this year for school, so I loved being able to take pictures for them. In fact, this morning, Emmy was reading about the Rosetta Stone, which was the first thing I saw in the British Museum!!
Our wonderful tour guide; she was so learned, yet hilarious. I loved listening to her!

The Rosetta Stone!
There were two of these, and they were probably at the entrance to a kingdom. They were something we could touch, so, naturally, I did! ;)
The Royal Game of Ur was scratched into the stone of the Stone Horse Statues above. It's assumed that some guards got bored and decided to play a little game...
The pictures below portray the story of a lion hunt. There were a couple dozen of them, all masterfully carved. They were so realistic; it was a little sobering. However, it was beautiful!

This was a child's mummy. It was so tiny...

After visiting Egypt, we went to Greece!

The backs of these statues were so intricately sculpted!!
