"We can sum it all up, then, by saying that so long as a human being is left to his own nature, he will always incline to evil more and more. This is not because he is forced that way. It is because he freely prefers it. No truth is more often taught in the Bible. Think again of how the whole human race (except for Noah and his family, who were saved by God's grace) filled the earth with violence before the flood. But even this judgement did not cure the tendency to evil, for we read that after the flood wicked men tried to build the tower of Babel. And then God called Abraham , and created the nation of Israel, to whom He revealed himself. But how often they too departed from God. As we read in Proverbs 1:24, "I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded." Is not this the true picture of man? Does not the whole Bible lead us to this conclusion: that man is corrupt in every part, and wholly unable to do anything good?"
Like I said, this is only one paragraph!
