Who is Rembrandt?

Rembrandt was a famous Dutch painter during the years following the Renaissance times. He was famous for his realness and chiaroscuro. Chiaroscuro is where the light is on the person who the painter wants you to pay attention. He took pleasure in painting people in the act of doing something such as “The Ship Builder Jan Rijcksen and His Wife” or “The Night Watch”. He married a woman named Saskia, whom he painted as Flora, the Roman goddess of flowers and nature.
