Rembrandt’s painting “The Ship Builder Jan Rijcksen and his Wife” shows a man sitting in a dark room with only one window. He is sitting at desk, which has a written paper on it, and a compass in hand. The light from the window is shining on Rijcksen and a little on his wife. She is handing him a note and, as she was probably busy, had her other hand on the handle. This is probably one of my favorite Rembrandt paintings because of the realness, which he is very famous for.
