In the seven months we had been in Maryland, MaryLynn, Susanna, Emmy and I had one sleepover. We needing another one. Mrs. Hoffman and Mamma saw that and, being the sweet Mammas that they are, gave us a date and we gratefully took advantage of it! Then, Mrs. Hoffman had the brilliant idea that we turn it into a ball and ask Jane Ellen and Katie to teach us a few dances. The girls accepted and it turned out to be a wonderful event! And, we only stayed up until 12:00 in the morning... :)
